Hot Seven Layer Dip

10 to 12 appetizer servings
1 (16-ounce) can refried beans
1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained
1 (1.25-ounce) package taco seasoning mix
1/2 cup sour cream, regular or low fat
1 cup jarred salsa, any variety
1 (4-ounce) can diced green chiles
2 to 3 tablespoons diced jalapenos
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 large green onions, sliced
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine the refried beans, black beans and
seasoning mix in a medium bowl. Spread the bean mixture into ungreased
8-inch-square baking dish.
Spread the sour cream over the bean mixture. Top with the salsa, chiles,
jalapenos and cheese. Cover.
Bake for 20 minutes. Uncover; bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the
cheese is melted and the dip is bubbly. Garnish with green onions. Serve with
