Tuna in Pastry
Recipe By Lori A
Very easy for a family dinner.
2 (12 oz) cans tuna in water
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
chopped green onion to taste
chopped bell pepper to taste (optional)
1/4 to 1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 cans crescent rolls
Mix drained tuna, cheese, onion, and bell pepper. Add mayonnaise to bind mixture
together, but not to make it creamy. Too much mayonnaise will make mixture
runny. Lay out 1 can of crescent rools on cookie sheet to form a rectangle.
Pinch seams together, but stretch dough out as much as possible without making
too thin. Spread tuna mixture on dough. Lay second can of crescent rolls on top,
pinching seams on top and sides to form a large pastry. Glaze top with beaten
egg. Cook according to directions on crescent roll can. May have to add about 5
minutes to baking time to bake all the way through.
