Meatballs in Southwestern Sauce
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 small onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
3/4 cup ketchup
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Dash hot pepper sauce
Method:
In saucepan, heat oil over medium heat; cook onion, garlic, chili powder and
cumin, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
Stir in ketchup, water, sugar, vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and hot
pepper sauce; bring to simmer and cook gently for 5 minutes. Add meatballs;
simmer, stirring often, for about 5 minutes or until heated through. Makes 4
servings.
