1 rib eye steak
1/2 cup water
2 tsp. beef base
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, finely minced
1 tbsp. hot horseradish or 1 dash Tabasco or both
1 tsp. whole peppercorns
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 cup water
Mix water and beef base, heat until dissolved. Add garlic and horseradish. Add
cornstarch and water and add to beef base mixture. Heat and thicken to gravy
consistency. Crack 3/4 of the peppercorns with mortar and pestle. Leave the rest
whole. Add to sauce. Broil steaks to desired doneness.
Pour sauce over. Serves 1.
