Five Flavor Pound Cake

2 sticks butter
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 cups sugar
5 eggs, well beaten
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon rum extract
1 teaspoon coconut extract
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 teaspoon butter extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Rose geranium leaves (optional)
GLAZE:
1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter, oil and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add beaten eggs. Sift flour and baking powder. Add to mixture alternately with
milk. Add extracts.
Lay rose geranium leaves, if using, in bottom of buttered, floured Bundt cake
pan. Pour mixture carefully over them.
Bake approximately 1-1/2 hours, until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool 5-10
minutes in pan, then invert.
For Glaze: Mix sugar and water and boil together 5 minutes. Pour glaze over warm
cake.
Makes 12 servings.
