Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 T chili powder
1 clove garlic
1/2 t salt
1/2 c chopped onion
3 c prepared white sauce
1/2 t sage
1/2 t oregano
1/2 t cumin
2 T chopped, green chiles
2 c cheddar grated
2 chopped tomatoes
12 flour tortillas
1/2 Head iceberg lettuce, shredded
Method:
Brown ground beef and drain. Add chili powder, garlic, salt and onion. Combine
white sauce, sage, oregano, cumin and chiles. Simmer over very low heat til
warm. Reserve 1 c sauce and 1 c cheese. Mix remaining sauce and cheese with
meat. Place this mixture in tortillas, roll and place seam side down in a flat
ungreased baking dish. Top with reserved sauce and cheese. Cover with foil and
bake at 350 for 15 min.
I also do this with shrimp and/or crab. I leave off the chili powder and use
Monterey Jack cheese instead of cheddar. Everything else is the same.
