Stained Glass Fudge
Chyrel's Note:
This is such a pretty candy to serve guest or to make as part of your holiday
goody tray. When I made my candy I made one little change and that was to use
jelly beans. I went to our local mall candy store where they have every flavor
you can think of. Let your imagination run wild.
1 1/2 pounds vanilla flavored candy coating
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups miniature multi-colored gumdrops or jelly beans
Line a 9-inch square pan with lightly buttered waxed paper or aluminum foil. Set
aside.
In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt vanilla coating with sweetened condensed
milk and salt; stir in vanilla and gumdrops.
Spread into prepared pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm.
Invert pan, peel off paper and cut into squares. Store in tightly covered
container at room temperature.
Makes 2 1/2 pounds candy.
