Apple Christmas Cookies  Recipe

Apple Christmas Cookies         1 c. soft margarine or butter 5/8 c. sugar (1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp.) 2 1/2 c. flour 3/4 c. grated apple confectioners sugar frosting with decoration Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Stir in flour. Stir in apples. Mix thoroughly with hands. Chill. Roll out on lightly floured board, not too thin. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Decorate. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
