Bon Bon Cookies

Dough
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
Semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Glaze
1 cup confectioner’s sugar
1 tablespoon water
A little less than 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 drop red food coloring
Directions for Dough
Mix together ingredients for dough.
When all are well combined, pinch off smallish pieces of dough and flatten in
palm of hand.
Place a few chocolate morsels in center of the dough; form the dough into a ball
surrounding chocolate pieces.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes. Do not let cookies brown.
Directions for Glaze
Ingredients should combine to make a pinkish glaze.
The cookies, once cooled, can be glazed by dribbling the glaze on the tops of
the cookies or by dipping the round cookies into the glaze so that the top half
of the cookie is coated.
Let sit until glaze hardens; then serve or freeze.
