Layered Apple Crisp in a Jar
½ cup all purpose flour
¾ cup packed brown sugar
¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ cup oats
½ cup raisins
Layer in 1-quart wide-mouth (makes it easier to pack down) canning jar in order
listed above. After each layer pack the layer down.
For the Tag:
4 medium tart apples, sliced
1/3-cup butter, softened
Heat oven to 375°. Arrange apples in greased square pan, 8x8x2- inches. Mix
contents of jar in large bowl With the butter then sprinkle over apples. Bake
until topping is golden brown and apples are tender, about 30 minutes. Serve
warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
