1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup coconut
3/4 cup chopped maraschino cherries, very well drained
Cream shortening with sugar. Beat in egg and almond extract.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in to creamed mixture.
Mix in chips, coconut and cherries. Drop from teaspoon onto greased
cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
