Strawberry Custard Squares
Ingredients:
1 (17-ounce) roll refrigerated, ready-to-slice sugar cookies
1 cup Strawberry Jam
1 tablespoon flour
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/3 cup sugar
Pinch of salt
1 pint sour cream
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Method:
Slice cookie roll according to package directions. Press 24 cookies together
over bottom of 13x9-inch pan. Mix jam with flour; spread over dough. Combine
remaining ingredients and beat just until smooth. Spoon over jam. Roll remaining
cookies into thin strips and lattice top of custard. Bake at 350 degrees on
lowest rack 45-50 minutes-or until set. Cool and chill.
