1 pound caramels
1 package German chocolate cake mix
2/3 Cup evaporated milk
3/4 Cup butter, softened
1 Cup chopped pecans
1 12-ounce package chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Melt caramels in 1/3 cup of milk. Combine cake mix, 1/3 cup milk, softened
butter, nuts, and 6 ounces of chocolate chips. Press 1/2 of this mixture into a
buttered 13x9 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Take out of
the oven and sprinkle the remaining 6 ounces of chocolate chips over crust. Pour
caramel mixture over all. Crumble remaining mixture over all. Bake for 15
minutes. Cool and cut into small bars.
