Low Fat Brownies

Ingredients
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs, separated
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
In a bowl combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; set aside. In a large
bowl, cream together sugars, egg yolks, applesauce and vanilla. In a small bowl
beat egg whites until foamy. Add to creamed mixture. Stir flour mixture in, and
add walnuts.
Pour batter into a 13x9-inch cake pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Bake cake in oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center
comes out clean.
Cool on wire rack.
