Orange Curd Brownies Recipe


Orange Curd Brownies

Ingredients:
6 T. butter (melted)
2 envelopes Nestle Toll House Choco Bake
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup + 2 T. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Orange curd:
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup frozen orange concentrate, thawed
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/8 tsp. salt
2 T. grated orange zest
1 oz. of Nestle Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate Bar (melted for drizzle)


Directions:
Combine butter and Choco Bake in small bowl. In separate bowl, beat eggs in. Add sugar gradually and beat until thick. Blend in Choco Bake/butter mixture. Add vanilla, flour and salt. Line an 8-inch square pan with foil. Grease and flour. Pour in butter. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven. Lower oven temperature to 300 degrees. Pour orange curd over top of brownie. Bake 10 minutes. Cool on rack. Refrigerate. When completely cooled, drizzle with melted chocolate.

For orange curd: Beat eggs, sugar, orange juice, butter, and salt. Cook in double boiler over simmering water. Stir constantly until mixture thickens (approx. 8-10 minutes). Do now allow to boil. Stir in orange zest.
