Raspberry Ribbons

Ingredients:
1 C butter softened
½ C sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 ¼ C flour
½ tsp. Baking powder
¼ tsp. Salt
½ C raspberry jam
Glaze:
1 C confectioner’s sugar
2 T evaporated milk
½ tsp. Vanilla
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Add dry ingredients gradually.
Divide dough into 4 portions. Shape each into a 10 X 2 ½ “ log. Place 4 inches
apart on greased baking sheets.
Make ½ “ depression down the center of each log. Bake at 350 for 10 min. Fill
depressions with jam. Bake 10-15 minutes longer, or until lightly brown. Cool 2
Min. Remove to a cutting board; cut into ¾ “ slices.
Combine glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over warm cookies.
