Slice & Bake Chocolate Cookies
I love these refrigerator cookies because I can make the dough freeze it or
refrigerate and then my son can bake them anytime he and his friends want
cookies. Works out great for both of us!
1/2 cup Butter Flavor Crisco
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate , melted
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup finely chopped pecans
In large mixing bowl blend Butter Flavor Crisco and melted chocolate. Blend in
sugar, egg and vanilla. Mix in flour, baking powder and salt.
Divide dough into two equal parts.
Shape each part into a roll 1-1/2 inches in diameter and about 7 inches long.
Roll in pecans to coat, pressing lightly. Wrap; refrigerate for at least 2
Preheat oven to 375ºF Cut rolls into 1/4-inch slices. Place slices 1 inch apart
on ungreased baking sheet.
