Chocolate Peppermint Bombe
Ingredients:
1 1/3 c. quick or old-fashioned oats, uncooked
1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1/3 c. butter or margarine, melted
1 qt. chocolate ice cream, softened
1 qt. peppermint ice cream, softened
Directions:
Combine oats, brown sugar and butter in shallow baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees
for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Press crumbs firmly onto bottom and halfway up sides of 2 1/2 quart mixing bowl.
Chill. Spoon chocolate ice cream into
crumb lined bowl. Freeze until firm. Spoon in peppermint ice cream. Freeze. To
serve, unmold and cut into slices.
