Peppermint Cream Dessert
Ingredients:
Crust:
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup margarine, melted
Filling:
1 pint whipping cream
1/4 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)
1/2 cup peppermint candy cane, crushed fine
1 bag (10 1/2 oz.) miniature marshmallows
Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Method:
Combine cracker crumbs, sugar and melted margarine. Press into a 9 X 13 inch
baking dish to line the bottom. Set aside.
Whip cream until soft peaks form. Stir in sugar and crushed peppermint. Stir in
marshmallows. Pour over graham cracker crust and smooth. Refrigerate overnight
if possible.
To garnish top, melt 1/2 cup semi- sweet chocolate chips and drizzle over the
top of the dessert in random fashion. Let set. Serves 20.
Note: Chocolate wafer cookie crumbs can be used instead of the graham crackers
to make a crust.
