Cherry Pudding

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups Flour, all-purpose
1/4 cup Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Salt
2 cups Cherries, sour drained
1/4 cup Molasses
2 teaspoons Soda
1/3 cup Water hot
Pudding Sauce Ingredients:
1 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Butter (or margarine)
1/2 cup Cream, light
Instructions:
Combine flour, sugar, and salt; add cherries. Blend in molasses and mix well.
Dissolve soda in hot water; add to cherry mixture. Pour into a well-greased
1-quart mold. Steam for 1 hour. Serve with Pudding Sauce. Pudding Sauce: Cream
sugar and butter. Add cream and heat in a double boiler. Serve hot.
Yield: sauce for 10 to 12 servings. |
