Easy Jelly Doughnuts

1 171/2-0Z container refrigerated butter flavored biscuits. (8 biscuits)
1/4 cup strawberry jam
2 cups vegetable oil for frying
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1 Carefully separate each biscuit into 3 pieces. Place jam into centers of half
the biscuit pieces, using an equal. amount for each, then top with remaining
Pinch edges together to seal well. In a large deep skillet, heat oil over medium
low heat until hot but not smoking. Cook donuts in batches for 4 to 5 minutes,
turning to brown on both sides.
3 Drain on paper towel-lined platter. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and
serve warm, or allow to cool completely before serving.
FINISHING TOUCH: If you prefer, you can use a mixture of granulated sugar and
cinnamon instead of confectioners' sugar as a topping for donuts.
