Easter Basket Fudge Recipe

Easter Basket Fudge

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 can (5 ounces) evaporated milk
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1-1/2 cups NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, 1-3/4 cups Milk Chocolate Morsels or 1-2/3 cups Butterscotch Flavored Morsels
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Additional chopped pecans or walnuts, optional


In a medium heavy saucepan, combine butter, evaporated milk, sugar and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 4-5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in marshmallows, morsels, nuts and vanilla. Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted. Pour into a foil-lined 8-in. square baking pan. Sprinkle with additional pecans if desired. Chill until firm. 2 Yield: 2 pounds.
