Caramel Fondue
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons water
1 – 15 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in sugar, corn syrup and
water. Bring to a boil. Stir in condensed milk, simmer, stirring constantly
until mixture reaches thread stage 230° (please see Candy Temperatures and
Tests). Add vanilla. Place over fondue burner. Dip apples, marshmallows,
pineapple, popcorn or oranges. |
