Dark Caramel Nut Frosting
Ingredients:
1 cup Dark brown sugar
1/3 cup Light cream or milk
1/2 cup Butter (1/2 cup )
1/2 cup Pecans or black walnuts
1 teas Vanilla extract
1 pinch Salt
Directions:
In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, salt, cream and butter. Bring the
mixture to a boil over medium heat and cook for 5 minutes, whisking all the
time. Lower the heat if necessary. Stir in the nuts and vanilla and keep warm.
Spread the warm frosting over the cake the minute it comes from the oven.
