Berry Crumb Bars

Yields 12 -15 bars.
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar, divided
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup shortening
1 pinch salt
1 pinch ground cinnamon
4 cups raspberries
3 teaspoons cornstarch
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease one 13 x 90-inch pan.
