3/4 CUP MARGARINE, SOFTENED
1/3 CUP GRANULATED SUGAR
1/3 CUP FIRMLY PACKED LIGHT BROWN SUGAR
1 LARGE EGG
1 TSP. VANILLA EXTRACT
1-1/2 CUPS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
2 TABLESPOONS COCOA POWDER
3/4 TSP. BAKING POWDER
1/4 TSP. SALT
4 SNICKER BARS (2.07 OZ. EACH), COARSELY CHOPPED

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350*. IN LARGE MIXING BOWL, CREAM MARGARINE AND SUGARS. ADD EGG AND VANILLA; BEAT UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY. COMBINE FLOUR, COCOA POWDER, BAKING SODA AND SALT; GRADUALLY BLEND INTO CREAMED MIXTURE. STIR IN CHOPPED SNICKER BARS UNTIL EVENLY BLENDED. DROP BY HELPING TABLESPOONFULS ABOUT 2 INCHES APART ONTO UNGREASED COOKIE SHEETS. BAKE 9-13 MINUTES. COOL 1 MINUTE ON COOKIE SHEETS; REMOVE TO WIRE RACKS. STORE IN TIGHTLY COVERED CONTAINER. MAKES ABOUT 3 DOZEN COOKIES.
