Hershey Kiss Cookies

1-3/4 cup flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together shortening, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar. Then add the egg and milk. Mix in remaining dry ingredients. Shape into balls, roll in sugar. Put on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 8 minutes. Press in unwrapped chocolate kiss till cookies crack and bake for 2-5 minutes more.
