Chocolate Mallow Pie

1-1/4 cups (300 ml) crushed cream-filled chocolate sandwich
cookies (about 14 cookies)
1/4 cup (60 ml) butter or margarine, melted
2 T (30 ml) sugar
2 packages (one 8 oz/224 g, one 3 oz/84 g) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup (120 ml) chocolate syrup
1-1/3 cups (320 ml) semisweet chocolate chips, melted
1 carton (8 oz/224 g) frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 cups (480 ml) miniature marshmallows
Chocolate curls, optional
In a bowl, combine the cookie crumbs, butter and sugar. Press
onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch (23-cm) pie plate.
Bake at 375 F (190 C) for 8-10 minutes or until set; cool completely
on a wire rack.
In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and chocolate syrup until
blended. Beat in melted chips. Set aside 1/4 cup (60 ml) of whipped
topping. Fold marshmallows and remaining whipped topping into
chocolate mixture. Spoon into crust. Refrigerate for at least 8
hours or overnight. Garnish with reserved whipped topping and
chocolate curls if desired. Store in refrigerator.
