Maple Syrup Pie

Pure maple syrup and cream. This heavenly combination stands alone in a flaky
pie crust to make a memorable dessert that could not be simpler to prepare.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups pure maple syrup 375 mL
1 cup whipping cream 250 mL
1/3 cup cornstarch 75 mL
1/4 cup cold water 50 mL
1 9 inch ( 23 cm ) baked single pie crust.
Instructions
In a saucepan, combine maple syrup and cream. In a small bowl, dissolve the
cornstarch into the water, add to maple mixture, stir until well blended. Over
medium heat bring the maple mixture to a boil, cook for 2 minutes stirring
constantly until thickened.
Remove from heat and pour into baked pie crust , cool until set.
Makes 8 to 10 servings.
