Southern Pecan Pie Recipe

Southern Pecan Pie

Makes 1 9-inch pie

9-inch pie shell
1 cup pecan halves
3 large eggs, slightly beaten
1-tablespoon butter, melted
1-cup light corn syrup (Karo)
1/2-teaspoon vanilla
1-cup sugar
1-tablespoon all-purpose flour

Arrange pecan halves in bottom of pie shell. Beat eggs. Add butter, corn syrup, and vanilla. Stir well until blended. Combine sugar and flour, blend with egg mixture and pour over pecans in pie shell. Let
stand until pecans rise to the surface. Bake in a 350F oven for about 45 minutes. The pecans will glaze during baking.
