1 pound lean ground beef
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon dried onion flakes
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 tablespoons pickle relish
4 ounces cheddar cheese, sliced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 hamburger buns
1 tomato, sliced for accompaniment
Ketchup for accompaniment
Mustard for accompaniment
Preheat barbecue grill.
In a large bowl combine ground beef, salt, dried onion flakes and pepper.
Shape into 8 thin patties. Divide and place pickle relish, cheddar cheese, salt
and pepper on half the patties. Place the remaining patties on top and press the
edges to seal well.
Grill for 5 minutes per side for well done burgers.
Serve over 4 hamburger buns with 1 sliced tomato, ketchup, prepared mustard or
other condiments of your choice
