Italian Minestrone Soup With Tortellini

1 1/2 lb. bulk Italian sausage
1 c. chopped onion
12 c. beef broth
1 lb. can tomatoes
2 c. sliced carrots
1 c. sliced celery
1 c. ketchup
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 c. sliced zucchini
1/2 lb. frozen meat or cheese
filled tortellini
1 medium green pepper, diced
1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
Brown sausage and drain fat. Add onions and saute until
tender.
Add broth, tomatoes, carrots, celery, ketchup, Italian
seasoning and garlic.
Bring to a boil. Simmer, uncovered, 30
minutes. Skim off any fat from soup.
Stir in zucchini, tortellini, green pepper and parsley.
Simmer, covered, until tortellini are tender, 40 minutes.
Before serving, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
