Turkey Tamale Squares

Corn Bread Ingredients:
1 (8 to 14-ounce) package corn bread mix
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/3 cup chopped green pepper
1 medium (1/2 cup) onion, chopped
4 ounces ground turkey
1 (15-ounce) can black beans or pinto beans, rinsed, drained*
1 (14-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (1 1/4-ounce) package taco seasoning mix
2 ounces (1/2 cup) LAND O LAKES® Cheddar Cheese, shredded
LAND O LAKES® Sour Cream
Salsa, if desired
Prepare corn bread mix according to package directions for 8-inch square pan.
Meanwhile, in 10-inch skillet heat oil; add green pepper and onion. Cook over
medium heat, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are crisply tender (2 to 3
minutes). Add ground turkey. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until
turkey is no longer pink (5 to 7 minutes). Stir in beans, tomato sauce and
seasoning mix. Continue cooking over medium heat until mixture is heated through
and bubbly (4 to 6 minutes).
To serve, cut hot corn bread into 6 pieces. Place on individual serving plates;
top each with 1/2 cup hot filling. Sprinkle with cheese. Serve with sour cream
