Orange-Pumpkin Cake

From Sur La Table, 10 North Rio Grande Street, Salt Lake City

1 Yellow cake mix
3 egg whites
1 1/4 cup canned pumpkin
1 cup orange juice
1/3 cup sour cream
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon allspice


1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together all the cake ingredients 23 minutes. Pour into a greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake 3540 minutes. While hot, invert cake onto serving platter. Mix powdered sugar and vanilla, and gradually add water a tablespoon at a time until it reaches desired consistency. Drizzle over cake. Cool.
