Mulled Cider

12 cups (3 quarts) apple cider
3 cinnamon sticks
8 whole cloves
1 tsp. ground allspice
3 strips orange peel, removed with a vegetable peeler

In a large pot bring cider, cinnamon, cloves, allspice and orange peel to a boil over medium heat.
Reduce the heat and simmer uncovered 25-35 minutes. Line a strainer with cheesecloth and strain over a clean saucepan and keep warm.

Garnish with orange slices, cloves, and cinnamon sticks
