Ingredients: 1 1/2 quarts green beans -- cut 2 tablespoons bacon -- chopped ( I like a little more ) 1 tablespoon shortening 3 medium onions -- sliced 4 medium tomatoes -- sliced 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup hot water dash red pepper Method: Fry bacon crisp; add remaining ingredients. Simmer for 1 hour. Add water as needed. |
