Chocolate Fudge
3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 14 oz. can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
pinch of salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

In heavy saucepan, melt chips and milk over low heat till all melted and smooth.
Take off fire and add the vanilla and stir in nuts (if used).

Have 8" or 9" square pan ready with lined waxed paper.
Butter pan first and line the sides too because it won't come out if you don't.
Put in fridge to cool for two hours or more until set. Remove from pan and cut into squares.
Put in airtight container and keep refrigerated.

This recipe is from the local paper with a coupon for the milk.
This is a very nice smooth fudge and habit-forming. (Just kidding.)
