Monkey Bread
4 tubes buttermilk biscuits
(10 count each)
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
Cut each biscuit into four pieces.
Mix 2/3 cup sugar and one tsp. cinnamon; put mixture into a container with a tight-fitting lid.
Drop 4-6 pieces of dough in container; shake until well coated.
Remove from container and drop into a buttered tube pan.
Repeat until all pieces of dough have been used. Melt margarine; add remaining sugar, cinnamon and vanilla.
Bring to a boil. Pour syrup over biscuits in pan.
Bake in a 350° oven for 40 minutes. Remove from oven. Immediately invert onto serving platter.
Serve in place of coffee cake or sweet rolls.
