Pineapple Upside Down Cake 2

1 package yellow cake mix
20 oz. can sliced pineapple
2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
maraschino cherries (optional)
juice from the pineapple, add water to make 1 1/3 cups

Add 2/3 cup juice and the eggs.
Beat hard for 2 minutes, then add 1/3 cup of the juice and beat hard for 1 minute.
Add the juice that is left and beat hard 1 minute.

Pour into 10" skillet that the margarine has been melted in and the brown sugar sprinkled on top of it.
Place pineapple slices on top of the brown sugar with cherry in the middle of the slice.
I also put pecans around between the slices.
Bake at 350 for 45 to 50 minutes.
Rack just below center works best.

(My own notes)
When making this, I found that the amount of butter in the
Pineapple Upside-Down Cake No. 1 seemed to be more accurate which is 1/2 cup.)
