Apple Butter (1 Point)

Makes 4 cups
12 med. Granny Smith or other cooking apples, peeled and cut into fourths
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup apple juice
1 tsp. ground allspice
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
Mix all ingredients in 5-6 qt. slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 8-10 hrs. or
until apples are very tender. Mash apples with potato masher or large fork. Cook
uncovered on LOW 1 to 2 hrs., stirring occasionally, until mixture is very
thick. Cool about 2 hrs. Spoon apple butter into container. Cover and store in
refrigerator up to 3 weeks.
